ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm a queer actor, VO and writer of English and Ghanaian origins with a determination for social change, based in London. My pronouns are she/they and Adomakoh is pronounced adda-MARK-oh.
I’ve been a Guest Artistic Director at the King’s Head Theatre, played Orlando in As You Like It at The Globe, and toured hit show 0800 Cupid in Ireland and the UK. I’ve worked at the RSC, BBC One, and the Royal Court, and played Juliet at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, for which I won the ‘Best Lead Actress’ award at the BBTAs. I play Miss Greenwood in hit Netflix show Heartstopper, and appear in Foundation on Apple TV+.

I graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge with a BA in English. My varied work is unified by principles of collaboration, creative community, intersectionality, and a deep-rooted belief in the capacity of art in the hands of people to make change.

I trained on the National Youth Theatre Rep Company programme. I am lucky enough to perform regularly at theatres, festivals and events with Pecs: The All-Female and Non-Binary Drag Collective and Shotgun Carousel, and make work with The Shakespeare Ensemble.
The stage show of my bestselling children’s book trilogy Lionboy (written with my mum under the pseudonym ‘Zizou Corder’) toured the UK, adapted by Complicite, and went to New York (off-Broadway), South Korea, South Africa and Hong Kong.
I'm a founding director of Brainchild, an award-winning multidisciplinary summer festival which launched in 2012, seeking to blur the boundaries between artist and audience, and to foster new ideas in a sponsorship-free environment.
As an enthusiastically intersectional feminist, I can be found representing 5050 Parliament and other campaigns for equality and diversity, as well as speaking to and writing for collectives and publications including the BBC, The Guardian, Vice, i-D, Time Out, Gal-Dem, Huffington Post, The Debrief and 5x15.
In 2019 I was nominated for the h100 Award for Rising Stars Under 30.
